The Thing With Feathers is becoming a bit of a familiar name on this blog. I originally discovered the Nashville, USA-based pop rock band almost exactly a year ago today and since then they’ve been back regularly. Their latest is the third single from the upcoming second EP, Waste My Revenge. It’s called These Drugs.

These Drugs has a bright and breezy style to its instrumentals that somewhat hides the emotional depth of its lyrics. It’s a song about toxic love, and being in the quagmire of a bad relationship. The vocals are suitably pleading, particularly during a soaring chorus that would make The 1975 jealous.
It’s another powerhouse of indie pop from a band we can’t get enough of. You can give These Drugs a listen below.
