Imelda Gabs is a Lausanne, Switzerland-based pop artist who has been performing since the tender age of fourteen. Educated at the Montreux Jazz Academy, she now writes and produces her own music. Her latest track explores taking risks in love and the fear of letting go, and it comes complete with a video shot in New Mexico, USA. It’s called Reckless.

Reckless is pop like you’ve never heard before. Cinematic in quality, a slow, contemplative opening swells into an emotive piano-led arrangement in which Imelda’s vocals are allowed to flourish. They are instantly arresting, delivering lyrics that cut deep.

A sci-fi inspired video adds further to the track’s narrative. It’s a must watch, and you can check it out below. Her debut album is set for release next year and I can’t wait to hear it.
