9 o’clock Nasty is a Leicester-based punk rock band who featured a few times on the blog last year, including a Q&A with Jane back in April. Now they’re back with a newly released track/primal scream. It’s called Too Cool.
By Graeme Smith
Opening with a drum roll, the track quickly hits a bluesy groove. Attitude-filled vocals join in and, without realising it, you’re moving along. Its tongue-in-cheek lyrics take no prisoners while bringing a smile to your face. With elements of classic rock and modern lyrical themes, there’s nothing not to like about Too Cool.
The track is the band’s first collaboration with Quebecois producer Hugo GT and he’s really got the 9 o’clock Nasty sound at its finest. Too Cool is simply a must-listen and you can check it out below.
