Discovery: Martha Eve

Martha Eve is an indie pop singer songwriter who was born in London, and grew up surrounded by brothers. She’s now based in Brighton and has just released her latest single as a tonic for loneliness. It’s called Pale Faced Moon.

Written during coronavirus lockdown, Martha chose to get philosophical in the circumstances. Pale Faced Moon is a reminder that no matter how big our problems may seem to us, an a universal scale they are tiny, and things we all experience at some point.

Musically, the message is delivered through laidback acoustic pop and gentle, compelling vocals. It was the imagery in Martha’s lyrics that really captivated me though.

With an EP planned for release in the Spring, now feels the perfect time to be discovering Martha Eve. I’ll certainly be keeping an eye on her career.
