Lewis Ross Robson is a York-born artist we’ve featured once before on the blog, but way back in 2018. Since then, he’s moved to Manchester, and continues to write and perform his own brand of introspective folk. His latest is called Black Again.

Black Again is an instantly haunting track, with a dark atmosphere set through acoustic guitar and Lewis’s expressive vocals. After a stripped-back first verse, the arrangement grows into a soft rock and blues arrangement but none of its intimacy is lost.

Inspired by the likes of Nick Cave and Steven Fretwell, Black Again is the first of three singles from Lewis set to be released in the early part of this year. You can check out its video below.
