Wrené is a Toronto, Canada-based experimental artist who is becoming a regular feature on our blog. Having featured in a couple of her round-ups, Jane went on the review her EP Transmuting Darkness in November last year. Now it’s my turn to share her music through her track and video Deflect, Dissolve.

Opening with ethereal strings and electronica, Deflect, Dissolve is instantly atmospheric. Wrené’s vocals are beautifully expressive and utterly captivating, delivering poetic lyrics. The whole piece is brought to life through a video that’s rich with natural imagery and a well-constructed artistic vision.
Deflect, Dissolve will feature on Wrené’s upcoming experimental-pop album Metamorphosis, set for release later this year. Based on the evidence of this track and video, it’s definitely one to look forward to. You can check out the video below.
