American R&B artist M’Lynn has featured on our blog a few times before, but not since the Autumn of 2021. When I saw she had just returned from a hiatus, I was excited to hear her new music. It’s called Safety Net.

For Safety Net, M’Lynn has mixed in elements of retro and neo-soul to create something that feels timeless. The star of the show, as always, is her rich and soulful vocals and her knack for song writing. The lyrics of this track feel both relatable and inventive. It’s truly M’Lynn at her best.
