Canadian artist Miles Away has featured on our blog a couple of times now, most recently through his duet with Danni Carra, Back To Sleep. His latest is also a duet, this time with vocalist Mercedes Arn-Horn. A pop record that explores how pride and fear can get in our way, it’s called Next To You.

Next To You is a gently intimate track that builds confidently into an emotive pop groove. Miles and Mercedes’s vocals work beautifully together, especially during a soaring, layered chorus. Yet, through all its brightness, the track perfectly captures the concept of apprehension standing in the way of love.

It’s another wonder from a pop producer and vocalist that has an ear for collaborating with the right voices. I can’t wait to hear what he does next!
