New Music: Angelina Luzi – Silent Moon

London-based artist Angelina Luzi has featured on the blog a couple of times now and her unique brand of indie pop always has me returning to her music. Her latest takes cues from The Cranberries and Jeff Buckley and it’s called Silent Moon.

By Graeme Smith

Opening with ethereal layers, the track is anchored by a sparse guitar riff and Angelina’s soulful and compelling vocals. The track eases gently into a dreamy, emotive chorus that sits somewhere between folk and soft rock. Though its lyrics feel pleading, there’s a reassuring quality to it. It’s a balm for those who are suffering from a loss of direction.

With an debut album planned for release later this year, now’s the perfect time to be getting into Angelina’s musical world. You can check out Silent Moon below.
