The Burning Hell are a Canadian folk-garage band who have just burst onto my radar thanks to their wonderfully absorbing new track and video All I Need.
By Graeme Smith
Post-apocalyptic worlds have never been as sweet or appealing as the one described in All I Need. One part love story, one-part survival horror, the track’s story is brought to life through thoughtful and amusing lyrics and a unique approach to folk rock.
The accompanying video, made by Los Angeles-based filmmaker Joe Nicolosi, mixes sci-fi elements from as broad a range of influences as Blade Runner and WALL-E. You can give it a watch below. If you like what you hear, The Burning Hell will be touring the UK in May and June, with stops in Sheffield and Hebden Bridge.
