Anto Dust, real name Anto Cossu, is an Italy-born, London-based dream pop artist who first hit my radar in the autumn of last year through her cinematic track A Larkin. Now’s she’s back with a new one born out of a doomed, long-distance relationship. It’s called Black City.
By Graeme Smith
The track sees Anto joining forces with Tomos Eames, who duets with her on the track. Their cinematic tendencies are immediately apparent right from the off, with sweeping, lonely rock and pop sensibilities. Anto has such a wonderfully unique voice and Black City is yet more evidence of what a strong songwriter she is.
You can check out Black City below. If you like what you hear, be sure to also lookup the short film Blueberry Smoothie by Make Productions. The song acts as its title theme.
