Noosh is an American indie pop singer songwriter who has just caught my attention thanks to her rumination on her small town upbringing. It’s called Bury It.
By Graeme Smith
Bury It is modern pop with influences taken from folk and blues. The combination creates something that feels wonderfully timeless, and a cut above much of the chart pop out there at the moment. Noosh has a poetic way with words and I found myself thoroughly engrossed with her storytelling lyrics while she rails against her purity-obsessed upbringing.
Fiercely independent, Noosh created Bury It herself, with only the mixing outsourced to Dominic Romano. I think she’s an exciting prospect in the underground pop scene, with a strong voice and the confidence to share it.
