Lausanne, Switzerland-based Belgian-Congolese pop artist Imelda Gabs has featured once before on this blog. At the end of last year, I ran the rule over her track and video Reckless. Now she’s back with another video for her dance track Thieves.

Thieves opens slow, stripped-back and soulful before kicking up into a moody, percussive piece of house and R&B-infused pop. It’s wonderfully crafted and Imelda’s vocals are once again the star of the show. If you’re not sure about dance music, then Thieves could easily change your mind.

Imelda has been performing since the age of fourteen and her level of talent is clear. I think she’s definitely on track to being a super star.
