Ki To is a San Francisco, USA-based artist who has just hit my radar thanks to his debut single Layin. The track comes complete with a sunny video which acts as a perfect introduction to an exciting artist.

Layin is a track that combines bright and breezy instrumentals with melancholic lyrics. Ultimately it’s about processing trauma, but Ki To refuses to wallow in it, and don’t be surprised if a smiles plays across your face while listening, and watching its laissez-faire video.

Ki To takes his performing name from his mother’s name, To, and the Chinese word for energy, Qi. I love the fresh energy he’s bringing to the world of indie pop. I hope you will too. you can check out the video for Layin below.
