Sheffield-based alternative rocker Ruiz! is now a familiar face on this blog, having featured many times before. Yet, I still get excited every time I see he has a new one out. His latest is no exception, and comes complete with a video. It’s called Love Is Blind.

In true Ruiz! style, Love Is Blind is a track that’s difficult to label. Psych rock mixes with electronica and experimentation in a way that feels beautifully unique. Lyrically, the track feels like soul-searching, with simple but powerful philosophy asking us to transcend our differences.

Ruiz! takes inspiration from the likes of Depeche Mode, OMD, Kraftwerk and fellow Sheffielders Human League. Fans of any of those acts will find a lot to love about Love Is Blind. You can check out its video below.
