Discovery: The Outstations

The Outstations are a country rock six-piece hailing from right here in Yorkshire who have just caught my attention thanks to their metaphor-rich new track Road To Somewhere.

By Graeme Smith

Road To Somewhere opens with a rousing chorus and lively country swagger. With their grit and southern dirt charm, you’d be forgiven for not realising The Outstations are based right here in Yorkshire, and not some small town in the States. The track, written by lead vocalist Rob Hackett and lead guitarist Tim Langley, speaks of the positives and negatives in life in a way that’s ultimately encouraging.

It’s great to be discovering this exciting Yorkshire-based act. I hope there’ll be plenty more to come from them. You can check out Road To Somewhere for yourself below.
