Nacht 84 is a Berlin, Germany-based independent electronic pop project. It’s just come to my attention thanks to his team up with musician and vocalist Elif Dikeç and Hamburg-based spoken word artist Joelle Steurer. It’s called The Baggage.

The Baggage opens with a percussive tapestry that slowly builds out with moody bass and Elif’s soulful vocals. The lyrics are gripping, as is the instrumental arrangement, which keeps you guessing what will come next. By the time Joelle’s verse arrives, you are fully immersed. The whole piece is wonderfully dreamy, and not like much I’ve heard before.
The track is the second single from Nacht 84’s upcoming album A New Phantom. I’m really looking forward to delving deeper into his musical world. I hope you will too. You can check out The Baggage below.
