Jane first discovered British singer songwriter Dom Malin for this blog in 2020 and time and again he returns with great music. His latest is no exception. It’s a rare detour into the world of electric and is called The Sea.

The Sea is about saying something early and not letting things escalate and there’s a suitable sense of longing in its intro. Dom’s vocals are as wonderfully expressive as always, delivering verses with passion and a singalong chorus. The electric guitar licks give some nice textures over the track’s soft indie folk.
Over the past few years, Dom’s star has been rising, with features on BBC Introducing Lincolnshire and across the blogosphere. He’s certainly one to watch.
You can listen to The Sea below.
