Followers of this blog, and the York music scene, will be no stranger to singer songwriter Rachel Croft. Though she’s now relocated to London, she has plenty of fans here in Yorkshire, and personally I’m always glad to see she has new music out. Her latest comes complete with a video and it’s called I Won’t Turn You Away.

Rachel’s latest is not for the faint-hearted. An emotional ballad and meditation on grief, it hits you right from the off with twinkling piano and Rachel’s soulful vocals. As it progresses, it grows, hitting a powerful climax. There won’t be a dry eye in the house.

We are on the cusp of an announcement about Rachel’s next EP and, after the powerhouse that was her last one, Reap What You Sow, I can’t wait to hear it!
