Like the passage of time, another banger of a release by Leicester-based rockers 9 o’clock Nasty is inevitable. We’ve shared so much of their music already but they are always there with another new one for us to revel in. Their latest is called Mood Is Low.
By Graeme Smith
We’ve seen some experimentation from 9 o’clock Nasty but for Mood Is Low they’ve returned to their garage rock roots, with looping riffs, rumbling bass and chanting vocals. It’s a stomping track that’s all wrapped within three minutes, in truest punk fashion.
There’s such a joy about what 9 o’clock Nasty are doing, but they also sneak in a message with their lyrics too. I’m already licking my lips in anticipation for the next one.
