Wotts are a Ottawa, Canada-based indie pop duo who have featured a couple of times before on our blog. Last year they featured in Jane’s Made In Canada round up, and she then followed it up with an interview with the guys. Now it’s my turn to check out their music. Their latest is called blue.
By Graeme Smith
In the past, Wotts have delved into the ’80s for inspiration but blue shows a different side of the sound. It’s a dreamy, hazy number that is somehow both upbeat and laidback. For a duo, Wotts create an incredibly rich soundscape and blue is a track in which you can easily get lost.
Wotts are vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jayem and bassist and guitarist Ricky 100. Blue was produced by Jayem and is the second single release from Wotts’ upcoming EP garden. You can give it a listen below.
