Kapture is a Los Angeles, USA-based alternative pop artist who has just come to my attention thanks to her recently released track about leaving behind abusive relationships. It’s called New Beginnings.

Given its topic, New Beginnings is suitably bright and optimistic but there’s a wonderful depth to it too. The vocals are rapped in the verse and sung in the chorus giving the track a tremendous sense of energy. Instrumentally, contemporary pop sensibilities swirl together with a fresh sound. It’s lovely stuff.

Kapture is Gabrielle Lambro. She grew up in an abusive household and took to writing and music as a form of relief. Her personal vulnerability gives her music a strong sense of relatability.
