British alternative pop singer songwriter Fantastic Mr Marcel has featured a couple of times before on this blog, going back to 2021 when I ran the rule over his track Black & White. Now he’s back with a new one that will get you in the mood. It’s called 9-5.

The single opens low and contemplative with electronic layers before soulful vocals come in, singing a story about love and affection. A groovy, passionate chorus is the highlight, creating a sensual atmosphere that spells out the track’s message about true devotion. It’s definitely one for the bedroom.
