Alterlight are a Liège, Belgium-based alternative rock and pop band inspired by ’90s and ’00s bands with diverse sounds including Linkin Park and Coldplay. They’ve just come to my attention thanks to their ode the freedom that comes from a bad relationship ending. It’s called Free.

The Summery, upbeat vibe of Free instantly gets you moving during its groovy first verse, while soulful vocals give a sense of catharsis. It builds to an explosive and expansive pop rock chorus, and a bridge that treats us to a surprise moment of pure rock. Free is simply a fresh and catchy track that demands a listen.
