Los Angeles, USA-based alternative pop artist Kapture first hit my radar in May thanks to her reflective debut track about leaving an abusive relationship, New Beginning. Now she’s back with a follow up that reminds you that it’s OK to feel down. It’s called Without You.
By Graeme Smith
Without You is a delicate, bittersweet track. An intimate and stripped-back intro gives way to a textured verse that Kapture delivers half-sung, half-rapped. The quick-fire delivery gives the track a sense of drama and urgency that masks the naked heartbreak of the lyrics. If you’re into R&B and hip hop-infused pop, Without You is for you.
The track sees Kapture once again collaborating with Sam J Garfield. You can give it a listen below.
