Every once in a while an artist comes along who’s so wonderfully unique and exciting, I can’t wait to share their music on here. Today, that artist is American alternative country singer songwriter Misty Dawn. Her new track Cactus Motel gives us country like you’ve never heard it before.

Misty refers to her genre as “show country”, melding musical theatre with Americana. Yet, there’s so much more going on in Cactus Motel. Echoing Western guitars meet cinematic strings in the intro before dance and electronica elements come in during the first verse. The lyrics are rich in storytelling, and Misty’s vocals are utterly captivating. It truly is something special.

Misty has been performing since the age of six in professional theatre and television. With her exciting sound, I can see her making waves in the world of music too.
