Linnéa is a Chester-based singer songwriter who has just come to my attention. With influences as broad as Evanescence and Fleetwood Mac her new single provided an exciting and intriguing prospect. It’s called Lonely.

Lonely hits you right away with its emotional, hard rock style but what really gripped me was Linnéa’s characterful vocals and storytelling lyrics. There’s a moody intimacy about the whole track, and a sense of vulnerability in Linnéa’s words about mental health that is utterly compelling.

The track will feature on Linnéa’s upcoming debut EP Fixation, set for release later this year. Lonely is released via Seahouse Records and you can give it a listen below.
