Magz is a New York City, USA-based alternative pop artist who has just caught my attention thanks to her honest and vulnerable new track The Memory.
By Graeme Smith
The Memory is all about getting lost in nostalgia, and seeking the past during uncertain times. Its emotion instantly hits you through its stripped-back, piano-led intro and Magz’s captivating vocals. Its lyrical storytelling is strong, sparing no detail while they paint a picture of lost youth, never to be recovered.
The track is the fourth and final single release from Magz’s upcoming debut EP Night Sweats, set for release on 21 July. It’s written by Maggie Roberts, Maddy Abela and Rich Tuorto. You can give it a listen below.
