Collect Call is a Brighton-based act who has just come to my attention thanks to the second single taken from their upcoming EP In A Lilac Evening. It’s called Talking Slow.

As you might guess from its name, there’s a laidback vibe to Talking Slow. Opening minimal, it quickly hits a hazy, pop-infused groove that will have you moving while the vocals of songwriter Joseph Thorpe will have you feeling. A sweeping chorus will having you achieving maximum bliss.

Collect Call is the brain child of Joseph Thorpe who contributes vocals, guitar, drums, bass and synths to Talking Slow. Silas Fry features on additional synth and piano, William Taylor on backing vocals and David Gridley on percussion and additional drums.
