Sydney, Australia-based psychedelic rock artist Morrison Reed has been appearing on these pages since 2021 and frankly we can’t get enough of his offbeat, atmospheric creations. His latest is no exception. It’s called Lavender Dusk.
By Graeme Smith
Lavender Dusk is a slow and brooding number, with hip-hop-esque drums and textured layers of electronica. The vocals are low and contemplative, delivering romantic, poetic lyrics full of metaphor and imagery. Fans of The Flaming Lips will definitely dig it, as will anyone who loves their music brimming with uniqueness.
Morrison continues to give us different flavours of his sound and I can’t wait to hear what he does next. I hope you’ll enjoy his sound as much as we have been. You can check out Lavender Dusk below.
