Based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Hendren is an experimental R&B artist who has just caught my attention thanks to his new track and video that explores his neurodivergence. It’s called Cannot Heal.

Cannot Heal opens with jangly, distorted guitar that create a sense of unease before it finds a percussive groove. The guitars stay fuzzy though and together it’s quite a powerful effect. When the passionate vocals come in, you know you’re in for something special. The track simply oozes authentic emotion.

This is such a belter of a track from an inventive artist who is not scared to bare his soul in his music. It’s a powerful combination and I think Hendren is definitely one to look out for. He’s giving the right combination of catchy and boundary-pushing in Cannot Heal. You can check out its video below.
