Alice Pisano is an Italy-born, London-based pop singer songwriter who has just come to my attention thanks to her sassy new anthem Part-Time Girlfriend.
By Graeme Smith
Part-Time Girlfriend instantly hits you with a bouncing beat over which acoustic guitar and Alice’s smooth vocals are poured. Relatable lyrics tell a story of inequality in love, and the conflict that comes a lack of commitment. It’s the catchy chorus that’s the stand out moment, building to a fist-pumping crescendo that will leave you feeling empowered.
The track was written and produced with Dustin Dooley at Strongroom Studios in London and follows on from Alice’s triumphant EP release Shattered but Still Cool in February of this year. She’s been finding herself on tastemaking playlists ever since and you can now count me as a fan. I hope you will be too. You can check out Part-Time Girlfriend below.
