Lee Pierre is a New York, USA-based electronic pop artist who has just come to my attention thanks to the first single from his recently released EP Humdrum Ruminations. It’s called I’m Dreaming.

Opening with a lo-fi electronic beat, I’m Dreaming is a track that gradually builds before characterful vocals and poetic lyrics come in. The track strikes an irreverent tone, all while honouring a retro style. There’s a touch of the familiar about it, but it’s entirely unique.
I’m intrigued and excited by Lee Pierre’s viewpoint. True innovation in music is hard to come by and that’s exactly what you get from I’m Dreaming. Humdrum Ruminations is out now in all the usual places and you can check out the single below.
