Birmingham-based SAER first hit my radar in June this year thanks to his unique cover of The Police’s Walking On The Moon. Now he’s back on the blog with a new original. It’s called NYC.

NYC is, of course, a tribute to New York City, USA. The city is beautifully brought to life through SAER’s alternative pop arrangement and descriptive lyrics. There is a touch of the retro in the track, and a taste of the epic and the cinematic. SAER really is giving us something no-one else is right now.

SAER is the project of vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and producer Simon Davies. He’s been performing since 2018, participated in The Voice, and has been celebrated by BBC Radio 6.
