British indie rockers Black Pines return with yet another killer tune, this time in the form of Run and Hide.
By Jane Howkins
Run and Hide starts as it means to go on, opening with some truly killer guitar riffs, underpinning the vocals well. It’s incredibly bluesy at times, creating a really cool groove. The chorus elevates things further, descending into an impassioned singalong that is extremely anthemic. The vocals simply ooze passion and emotion here, simply soaring on the chorus. It also manages to be very catchy, mixing a sense of rock and roll attitude with a poppy sensibility, making for one awesome package altogether.
