Vienna, Austria-based German singer songwriter Felicia Lu first hit our radar in June last year when Jane ran the rule over her track The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Now it’s my turn to share some of her music. Her latest is a tale of unrequited love and it’s called me & my broken heart.

As you’d expect, me & my broken heart is a tearjerker. There’s an authentic feel to its emotional story, and Felicia perfectly captures the feeling of walking away from love with her powerful vocals and stripped-back pop arrangement. At the first chorus, the track changes gears and we get a driving, urgent alternative dance twist. It’s a track that will really stick with you.

In 2014, Felicia Lu made it to the finals of RTL’s Rising Star and from there she’s not looked back. She almost represented Germany at Eurovision in 2017 and has been making an impact releasing her own music, on Spotify and across Europe’s radio stations.
