New York City, USA-based singer songwriter Emmrose and been all over our pages since I discovered her for the blog last year, and her music featured as recently as two days ago. Yet, she’s already back with another track. Inspired by the director John Hughes, it’s called Electric Nights.
By Graeme Smith
There’s certainly a taste of nostalgia about Electric Nights‘ old school soft rock arrangement. As ever, the lyrics are devastatingly beautiful and Emmrose’s vocals will send a shiver down your spine. What makes the track stand out, though, is its lushness, modelled on the likes of Beach House and Cigarettes After Sex. Emmrose really has gone all out with this one, and the expansion of her sound suits her.
Electric Nights was co-written and produced by Emmrose and Richard Orofino, a long-time collaborator. It was mixed and mastered by Mike Abiuso at Behinds the Curtains Media. You can check it out below.
