Based not far from here in Gateshead, Hannah Robinson is a rock singer songwriter who has just caught my attention thanks to her new Summer-infused track Rosie.

Rosie is a song about Hannah’s alter ego, her “woman within”, and its lyrics speak of female empowerment. It opens raw and stripped-back before hitting a mysterious groove. There’s a touch of ’70s throwback about its psychedelic, dreamy soundscape, but this is tempered with a modern edge. It’s the perfect mix, and creates an utterly compelling example of rock and roll.

Hannah has been making her name for herself on the live scene, playing notable festivals like Stockton Calling and Coast Fest, and selling out her debut headline show in just six days. Her debut EP is set to come out next year and you can check out Rosie below.
