Welsh jazz-pop singer songwriter Malan has featured on our blog a fair few times now, going back to 2020 when I discovered her for us through her debut single Busy Bee. Her latest gives us something a little different, and brings in the forces of Meiblio (aka Ennio The Little Brother). It’s called Magic.

Malan’s latest has an instantly infectious groove. Old school and modern elements combine nicely into something that feels a little timeless. The star of the show is, as always, Malan’s charismatic vocals. Their soaring smoothness pairs perfectly with Meiblio spoken word verse to create something wonderfully sultry and romantic.

Magic will feature on Malan’s upcoming new EP set for release later this year. The track was produced and co-written by Nate Williams. You can check it out below.
