Brandon Hunt is a Sunderland-based alternative pop artist who has just caught my attention thanks to their new single and “captivating symphony of chaos” Embrace the Chaos.

Opening stripped-back and acoustic, the emotional depth of Embrace the Chaos is instantly captivating. Brandon’s vocals are wonderfully smooth and expressive as they deliver lyrics that invite the listener to acknowledge the precariousness of their control, and the joy of letting go. A sweeping indie pop chorus is a highlight. I reckon it would play well on a festival mainstage.

Though now based in the North East, Brandon was born not far from here in Scunthorpe. If you’re a fan of ITV’s Starstruck, their name might already be familiar since they featured on the programme.
