Darrell Rogers is an American singer songwriter based in Traverse City, Michigan. His latest is an ode to his adopted home town and a beautifully compelling lyrical story. It’s called Traverse City Misses You.

An artist who isn’t confined to one genre, Darrell takes inspiration from musicians across the musical spectrum, from the folk of James Taylor to the pop of Miley Cyrus. His music feels wonderfully unique and I found myself so gripped by the song writing in Traverse City Misses You that I knew I had to share it.

The track sees him team up with Marlena Meadows whose charismatic vocals bring the track’s story to life, as does its lilting and wistful folk pop instrumental arrangement. A soaring, heartfelt chorus is certainly the highlight.
