Thomas Lehmkühler is a Nottuln, Germany-based multi-instrumentalist and creative musician. He’s composed hundreds of songs and produced music in different genres, yet it’s taken until now for him to hit my radar. That’s all thanks to his new single Things are what they are.

Things are what they are opens with gentle and contemplative piano. It perfectly captures the philosophical nature of the track’s story. As the piece develops, it grows, reaching an uplifting and hopeful moment before settling back down into its familiar refrain. It truly is a beautifully composed piece of work that is in must listen for fans of neoclassical music.
