You Can Catch York Band for Free This Weekend

York band Miles and The Chain Gang wil play a free gig at The Victoria Vaults on Sunday 15 October.

The event is part of York Alive. The band have recently re-released their first single When It Comes To You and the track is being played on indie and internet radio.

‘It’s good to be back at The Vaults,’ says Miles Salter, the band’s vocalist and songwriter. ‘It’s always good fun and it’s a venue that has had some brilliant gigs recently.’

The Vaults has had an eclectic programme in 2023, including gigs by Gomez singer Ben Ottewell, local bands such as The Mothers and Groovetone, and touring tribute bands. The venue has hosted a number of recent events as part of the York Alive programme, including American blues guitar player Toby Walker, performance poet Luke Wright, and local band DC Blues. Last Sunday, we hosted neo-classical musicians Gifts From Crows at the National Centre for Early Music in York as part of the York Alive programme.

The Miles and The Chain Gang gig at The Victoria Vaults is free entry and the music starts around 4pm.
