Pieces of Juno, real name Juno Sandbæk-Jensen, is an Oslo, Norway-based artist who has been releasing music for ten years. Yet, it’s taken until now for me to discover her. That’s all thanks to her deeply personal new song about making peace with the exorable march of time. It’s called Sense of Self.
By Graeme Smith
Sense of Self opens with an unconventional and atmospheric alternative folk arrangement. There’s really not much else there out there like it. Juno’s ethereal vocals mix the organic with the unearthly. It’s the perfect soundtrack as the darker nights begin to draw in and we find ourselves awash with introspection. I truly am so excited to have finally caught up with her music. She’s one that I will keep be keeping a close eye on.
Pieces of Juno’s next album release, Atlantis, is set for 27 October via Oslo-based label KOSO. You can give Sense of Self a listen below.
