Arden Alexa is a San Francisco, USA-based artist who has just hit my radar thanks to her new track that was written in the wake of a big friendship breakup. It’s called Petty Bitch.

With all the songs out there dedicated to the breakdown of romantic relationships, it’s refreshing to hear something about friendship gone cold. Arden draws from her own experience of grief caused by this, and channels it into this track. The result is something that feels viscerally authentic while also giving us some catchy, upbeat pop rock. If you’re looking for some catharsis today, look no further than Petty Bitch.
