If you regularly read this blog, then you’ll know how big a fan I am of Los Angeles, USA-based alternative pop artist Kapture. She first came to my attention in May and I’ve shared several of her tracks since then. Her latest shows her more intimate and vulnerable side. It’s called Sailed.
By Graeme Smith
Kapture’s latest is based on her abusive past with her father and meditates on the trauma of her childhood. It’s nice to see another side of her sound, but it’s not a track for the faint-hearted. Kapture fills her lyrics with heart-breaking detail. Her unique brand of rapping is still there, though. You’re left in no doubt that this is a Kapture tune.
Sailed is produced by Sam J Garfield. You can give it a listen below.
