Connor Desai is a Seattle, USA-based artist whose meld of genres and unique sound has got my attention. Her latest is a sultry one and it’s called Forever.

Though new to us, Connor has already gained some notoriety through her recent cover of Grateful Dead’s Friend of the Devil, which featured the Netflix Show The One. Her latest sees her flex her own song-writing muscles and we’re not left disappointed.

Opening intimate and acoustic, Forever is instantly captivating. Connor’s vocals are the star of the show, beautifully emotional. As the track progresses, a mesmerising percussive pop rhythm comes in, bringing together chill trap with folk. It really does set her apart from contemporaries.
