Montreal, Canada-based pop singer songwriter Alora Farenweh is one of my favourite discoveries for this blog and I always get excited when I see she has new music out. One for transporting us to fantastic settings, her latest invites us to an alien world full of strange creatures. It’s called Star Fields.

Star Fields sees Alora dabble in the hyperpop genre, giving us some lively maximalist instrumentals that fortunately don’t compromise on her captivating vocals. Instead, we get a nice mix of the bouncy and the dreamy, and the focus is on her descriptive lyrics in stripped-back verses. Its soaring pop rock chorus is the icing on the magical cake.

Alora Farenweh is a true talent with a unique point of view. She’s definitely one to watch.
