Lilli Joon is a Los Angeles, USA-based artist who has just hit my radar with a track that’s not so much new but definitely worth a share. It’s called Tiny Portals.

Tiny Portals was recorded in one take using an iPhone voice memo, lending it an immediate and raw quality. Lilli performed the song in a room of her father’s house as he was dying of cancer so the way she has released it feels right. It’s an outpouring of emotion in the moment, without the need for bells and whistles. We are treated to natural ambience, intimate guitar and expressive vocals telling poetic lyrics. It’s extremely powerful.
