Teenage singer songwriter Edie Yvonne is becoming a regular feature on this blog. I first discovered her for us in July through her track In The Rain, and followed that up with shares of three more of her tracks. Jane’s even taken the time to pose her some questions in a Q&A. Her latest sees her collaborating with Maddy Simmen and Rio Root. It’s called Girl Code.

They say write what you know and that’s certainly what Edie does with her music. Giving her unique perspective on the formative teen years, her latest sees her going introspective and meditating on changing relationships. It’s a simmering but lively track, incorporating elements of pop and rock that builds to a passionate, anthemic chorus.
